With the accounting for 23 per cent of the country’s total export value, the U.S has still maintained its position as the leading importer of Vietnamese seafood. The seafood exports to this market in the first 5 months of this year amounted to US $671.86 million, up 45.83 per cent over the same period of 2013.
During the first 5 months of the year, the seafood exports to most of the major markets such as Japan, South Korea and China surged by 8.36, 45.92 and 51.74 per cent, respectively.
