A representative of Vietnam – China Business Association in Guangxi said that the first Trade center of Vietnamese seafood is being set up in Fangchenggan of Guangxi province so that businesses of the two countries can directly purchase, buy, build supply chains, and exporting-importing seafood and agricultural products.
During 2018-2022, China was the second biggest importer of Vietnamese aquatic products, after the US, and the biggest buyer of Vietnamese agricultural products. Quangxi province has been the major market of Vietnamese seafood and agricultural products, accounting for nearly 50% of Vietnam’s export value of seafood, forestry and agricultural products going to China.
A representative of Vietnam – China Business Association in Guangxi said that the first Trade center of Vietnamese aquatic products is being set up in Fangchenggan city. The authority of this city has allowed to build a refrigerated warehouse of the first phase which can store 200,000 tons of aquatic products and the warehouse of the second phase can store 600,000 tons of aquatic products.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), a larger amount of Vietnamese aquatic products will be exported to China in the next few months. Thus, the Trade Center of Vietnamese seafood will facilitate enterprises to do their business.
So as to boost the exportation of Vietnamese aquatic and agricultural products to China, MARD is requesting enterprises to focus on exploiting and taking advantages of digital technology and electronic trading platform to promote products.
Enterprises have to improve the quality from culture, fishing, processing, packaging, shipping, to exporting, and enhance the association between producers with exporters so as to exploit the market together.
MARD had relevant Chinese institutes cooperate to hold the trade promotion forum as soon as possible, thus, enterprises of the two countries can directly negotiate, build supply chains, import and export aquatic and agricultural products.
