On August 21, 2024, the Vietfish International Seafood Exhibition, hosted by VASEP, kicked off at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The event saw attendance from prominent government figures, VASEP representatives, and officials from various international entities.
MARD praised VASEP for its significant contributions to the seafood industry and its pivotal role in bridging the gap between the government and businesses, particularly in addressing trade barriers. MARD reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with VASEP and other industry stakeholders to maintain Vietnam’s standing among the world’s top three seafood exporters.
Vietfish 2024, themed “Asia’s home of seafood,” aims to introduce globally recognized seafood products to the domestic market, supporting the fast-growing F&B industry in Vietnam. The exhibition also serves as a platform to offer nutritious and convenient food choices for Vietnamese families, catering to the diverse tastes of the younger generation.
The event features a series of specialized seminars focused on promoting sustainable growth in Vietnam’s aquaculture and fisheries sectors, offering insights into the industry’s future direction.
The exhibition runs daily from August 21 to 23, 2024, and is expected to attract around 17,000 visitors.
