According to statistics, in the first 15 days of June 2024 (June 1–June 15, 2024), Vietnam exported about 39,700 tons of coffee, with an export turnover of about 178 million USD, a decrease of about 46.5% in volume and a decrease of about 7.7% in value compared to the same period last year. Looking at each type of exported coffee in the first 15 days of June 2024, it can be seen that Robusta coffee is mainly still with 30,545 tons, a turnover of about 125 million USD, while Arabica green coffee is only exported with 6,653 tons, a turnover of about 27 million USD, and 1,103 tons of decaffeinated green coffee, a turnover of over 5.3 million USD.
In the first 15 days of June 2024, the top 10 enterprises in terms of raw coffee export volume are: Vinh Hiep, Louis Dreyfus Company Vietnam, Intimex Group, Tuan Loc Commodities, Sucafina Vietnam, NKG Vietnam, Olam Vietnam, Simexco Daklak, Cat Que, and Atlantic Vietnam. Among the total number of enterprises exporting raw green coffee, FDI enterprises account for a market share of about 39.2% in volume and about 36.3% in turnover. Regarding Vietnam’s green coffee export market in the first 15 days of June 2024: In addition to the quantity in bonded warehouses, Switzerland leads with a volume of 10,596 tons, Singapore is second with 5,406 tons, Japan is third with 3,987 tons, the Netherlands is 4th with 3,202 tons, Germany is 5th with 3,145 tons, Liechtenstein is 6th with 3,121 tons, Italy is 7th with 1,280 tons, Saudi Arabia is 8th with 750 tons, Belgium is 9th with 654 tons, and Spain is 10th with 648 tons. The European market accounts for about 60%, and the EU accounts for about 52%. The US market dropped to 16th place with 296 tons. China is 18th with 241 tons.Thus, from the beginning of the year to mid-June this year (January 1–June 15, 2024), Vietnam exported about 862,426 tons of coffee, for an export turnover of about 3.04 billion USD, a decrease of about 8,000 tons. 4% in volume but up about 37.8% in value compared to the same period last year. Of which, Robusta exports reached 743,743 tons, a turnover of over 2.4 billion USD, and Arabica exports reached 38,393 tons, a turnover of over 154 million USD.
The export turnover of roasted and ground instant coffee reached about 428 million USD.From the beginning of the 2023–2024 crop year to the end of June 15, 2024, Vietnam exported more than 1.23 million tons of coffee, with an export turnover of about 4.16 billion USD, down about 8.8% in volume. but increasing about 31.6% in value compared to the same period of the previous crop year. Of which, Robusta exports reached 1.05 million tons, with a turnover of over 3.23 billion USD, and Arabica exports reached 44,180 tons, with a turnover of over 174 million USD. The export turnover of roasted and ground instant coffee reached about 680 million USD.
